Add beautiful video loops for free from the internet

Here you will find links to beautiful free video loops or stock images that you can add to your VideoPsalm.
Feel free to submit more links at the bottom section.

Free worship video loops

YouTube is the biggest source of free worship loops:
YouTube Free Worship Loops

To get the video loop locally on your PC:

1. Use the free YouTube download services:
4K Video Downloader (this is what I use, the free version)
y2mate
or search Google for "YouTube download" for other alternatives.

2. Import the downloaded video into your VideoPsalm video gallery
See here how to do that:
http://videopsalm.weebly.com/blog/comment-importer-des-images-dans-la-galerie-de-videopsalm
(article available in French only).
Please use the free Google Translate service to read it in English.

3. Assign the video to your song, so that the video plays automatically when you display the song lyrics.
This article describes this task in details:
http://myvideopsalm.weebly.com/blog/select-an-image-or-a-video

Since version 1.26, all video formats are supported

Since version 1.26, VideoPsalm can display most if not all video formats.

For VideoPsalm 1.23 or earlier: If you experience difficulties to display WMV videos, try the following:
  • On Windows XP or Vista, install the latest DirectX version or the Microsoft C++ redistributable.
    DirectX 9.0c download by Microsoft
  • On Windows Seven or Windows 8, displaying WMV will/should work out of the box.

If you experience difficulties to display MP4 or other video file formats, try the following:
  • Install a video codec pack.

The K-Lite codec pack can be downloaded here and enables to play most video formats, notably MP4.
Be careful while installing additional codecs, as codec packs found on the internet may try to install additional software that are hard to get rid of.

Hi Richard,

In VideoPsalm 1.18, it is possible to specify if word do wrap.
Usually, for Bible we always want word to wrap.
This is also how VideoPsalm is configured by default, however there seems to be a bug here.

Anyway, Here is how to set it back:

1, Click the "Bibles" button, at the right of the "Songbooks" button.
This will select the "Bibles" style level.

2. Click the "Wrap" button.

3. Save your changes.

Does this work for you?

By default, on an existing installation, VideoPsalm 1.18 will wrap Bible long verses, and long song verses, like in version 1.16.

If you happen to be able to reproduce the problem, please let me know.

I don't see a "Wrap" button anywhere.

Hi Richard,

The wrap button is located here:
Toolbar -> Text tab -> Font group -> Bold, Italic, Underline -> Wrap

I have started running videopsalm but i can't quite get the video loop to change. I have got the mega pack for codecs as described above but i can't seem to get the videos to play properly and my output keeps freezing. Videopsalm is the only application open on my PC. Is there any ideas how solve this issue? i have plenty of RAM on my PC so its not that

Hi Mark,

For some reason, on some rare PCs, the video rendering engine fails.
Please let me know if you make some progress on this.

Hi Iván,
VideoPsalm 1.21 corrects this bug.

I was using the VideoPsalm 1.20 before downloading the 1.21 but I hope that the new version fixes the bugs that freezes when the song or bible displays.

Also some of the bibles need to be updated like New Living Translation and please add Expanded , New Living Translation and GOD’S WORD.

Hi Xeria,
In case your VideoPsalm freezes while displaying videos, install the following video codecs:
To display a wide range of video formats (MP4, AVI, MOV, WMV, etc.), a codec pack is required.
I recommend the "basic" K-Lite codec pack, downloadable for free here:
http://files2.codecguide.com/K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1375_Basic.exe

Does this work for you? Please let me know.

The Bible translations that you are mentioning are in the list of Bibles to add to the VideoPsalm online library, alas i don't know when they will be available.

How do you use the codec pack to add different video formats?

Hi John,
It is only required to install the codec pack.
Download this file, then run it to install it:

I have tried all versions of the codec packs, and I have even tried shark007. It does not allow me to play anything other than WMV. What do I do?

Hi John Paul,
It is difficult to know what exactly goes wrong.
Some people have reported that they needed to install the codecs twice (uninstall then reinstall).
Make sure that your Windows is up-to-date.
Which Windows version do you have?

Hi George,

If I understand properly, you would like to assign a style attribute to a whole Bible instead to a single verse.

To assign a background to a whole Bible:

1. Click the Bible.
This will select the "Bible" style level, and all subsequent style changes will be applied to the Bible (-> to all Bible verses).

2. Select a background video.

Additional read
VideoPsalm uses the concept of cascading style attributes, enabling you to define in a few clicks the style at any level : song verse, song, songbook, all songbooks, base.

The following articles describe some cascading styles scenarios (the articles often consider the background, however font colors follow the same principle):

Hi John,

As of VideoPsalm 1.23, it is not possible to rotate the video.
Do you really mean that the video is displayed rotated by 90°?

Yes I have the same problem. The video is displayed rotated by 90°.

@John and @Erwann,
Could you please email us a link to a video that gets displayed rotated?
This would help reproduce the problem at our side and find a solution to it.

Hi Abbey,

To assign a video background to a whole song:

1. Click the song.
This will select the "Song" style level, and all subsequent style changes will be applied to the song (-> to all song verses).

Hello Eduin,

If I understand properly, you would like VideoPsalm to display the slideshow image in its entirety?

To display a slideshow image, drop it onto the agenda surface.
VideoPsalm will display this slideshow image in its entirety.
Depending on the image format, VideoPsalm will add black borders to the vertical or horizontal sides.

To the opposite, gallery images are meant to be displayed behind song lyrics.
As such, VideoPsalm makes sure that the image will cover the whole screen.
In this case, depending on the image format, the horizontal or vertical borders may be cut-off.

In particular, VideoPsalm will not "stretch" any image.
This is by design.

For some reason, there is a short black flicker whenever my background video loops. I don't remember having that before. At the end of the video, it pauses for a few few frames and blacks out a few frames then the video restarts. how can i have a smooth loop?
